The IPhone 4

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Apple has recently released their iPhone 4, and even before its release it created quite a buzz through the technology industry. The iPhone 4 features a super slim design that blows away its current phone contemporaries. The iPhone 4 is about 9 millimeters in width, which makes it 3 millimeters smaller than its older sibling, the iPhone 3GS. This is a 24% reduction in size. The iPhone 4 is also less wide than the iPhone 3GS, making it perfect to stow anywhere and less clumsy to hold. The iPhone 4 still weighs in at 136 grams, but because of its slimmer and sleeker design, it is a must have for just about everyone.

While these enhancements alone are enough to justify upgrading to the Apple iPhone 4, they have thrown in even more convenient features for the discerning customer. After all, the iPhone 4, while being smaller, shares the iPhone 3GS’ same 3.5″ screen, but now it can carry an even higher 960 x 640 pixel resolution. Each inch carries 326 pixels, making it the highest resolution phone screen you can find on the market today.

The Retina display is far better than any other type of smartphone screen you can find on the market – after all, it gets its name from the fact that it has a greater number of pixels than can be picked up by the human eye. iPads and iMacs have also carried over their in-plane-switching techniques to the screen of the iPhone 4, making the screen able to be viewed from more angles than ever before and allowing for maximum visibility and comfort – no more tilting the screen so you can see what is going on.

The A4 CPU included with the iPhone 4 is the same one that powers the iPad. What’s more the iPhone 4 has a greater number of capabilities with the new iOS 4 operating system, including the ability to more easily multitask. While you may think that they took too long to do it, Apple merely wanted to bide their time until they could release a finished product, as with the copy and past features.

The iPhone 4 also has fantastic ways to use your still and video camera, now featuring a 5 megapixel camera in the body of the phone. What’s more, it comes with a backlit sensor, 5x integrated zoom, and an LED flash, as well as the ability to record 720p HD video at 30 fps, making it an amazing video camera. You can even use tap to focus on the video camcorder as well.

Great Qualities On The Apple IPhone

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

In the past I have several cell phones which I’ve been happy with, but nothing prepared me for how fantastic my apple iphone would be!

How many times have we purchased cell phones which are meant to have full internet access but haven’t? Well the iphone delivers all that it promised. The service provided by ATT is excellent, as is the Safari browser.

The clarity of the screen on the iphone is brilliant, when you consider the size of a cell phone. If there is anything on the site you want enlarging, the touch technology makes it a piece of cake.

The apps store has left Apple with a bigger hit on their hands than they could surely ever imagine. The choice of apps available is simply staggering.

I would be lying if I said the quality of the videos and pictures was superb, but as these are merely phone features and not the reason you are buying the iphone, who cares? The clarity is still better than most cells.

I am a text maniac; I admit that I could send 100’s in a week. Now that I’m using the touch screen I can send even more as I’m typing 5 times faster. A lot of people have expressed their worries that they won’t be able to do this successfully as they have big fingers, well any phone is a problem if you do, you just adapt.

If you rely on the alarm on your cell phone to get you up in the mornings, you will know as well as me how feeble they are sometimes. This one has different settings and the volume it can reach is phenomenal. The ringtones aren’t great, well they never are on a cell, but its easy enough to get your self new ones.

There are two ways to charge up your iphone. The first way is the normal charger which plugs into the mains and will charge your phone in 15-30 minutes. The second way is via the USB port on your laptop or PC which takes longer, but as 45-60 minutes for a completely dead phone is still pretty good.

Mobile Phone Screen Protection

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

In our modern world, mobile phones have become an essential accessory. They are now a major part of everyone’s life. Especially those people who have busy lives, or love gadgets.

An often overlooked, but must-have accessory, is the mobile phone screen protector. Since mobile phones are now of significant value to us, it makes sense to protect them from our busy daily use. I bet every mobile phone you have had, become scratched and knocked within a very short time.

Screen protector mainly protects the screen of your mobile phone. The name says it all. A screen protector is made of clear plastic with an adhesive on the back which sticks on the screen of the mobile phone.

Some mobile phones appear to have a screen protector when bought. But these are often just packaging material. The screen image is degraded through it, and it will come off after a short time. If your mobile phone is a touch-screen or requires a stylus, you will find that you need to remove this to operate it effectively.

For those people who have purchased a more sophisticated device, such as an iPhone, Pocket PC or Smart Phone, the screen is more prone to scratches. A tap or run from a fingernail or stylus can often leave a scratch which cannot be removed. A good durable screen protector will stop your device from such problems, whilst also delivering a clear image.

Mobile phone screens also collect dust, grease and finger prints. Wiping the screen with a cloth or shirt sleeve often just leaves the screen blurry. You will find that some screen protectors are easily removed and cleaned. It is also worth considering a protector which covers the back of the phone as well, stopping the camera from being damaged and making the whole device easy to clean and protect.

Considering the value and constant use of a mobile phone, a screen protector is essential. A protected phone will retain its value, look and perform better. And considering that a screen protector is a fraction of the price of your mobile phone, it would seem sensible to fit one.
